Joomla Plugin / PHP Image Editor

PHP Image Editor is developed as an plugin for Joomla 2.5, 1.7, 1.6 and 1.5.

After installing/activating the plugin in Joomla, an new "Edit Image" link has appeared in the Media Manager. Also to the add image function below the article text editor in backend and frontend editing.

Language support

PHP Image Editor has language support which follows the language that has been selected in Joomla. In the documentation you can read about how to add a new language.

Media Manager

In the Media Manager detailed view, the "Edit Image" link has appeared to the right.

In thumbnail view, the "Edit Image" link has appeared below every image.

Article editor

Below the article text editor, when pressing the "Image" button, this window appears with the "Edit Image" link above the images.

Edit image permissions

In PHP Image Editor Pro Joomla 2.5, 1.7 and 1.6, users with edit permission and super users can edit images.
In PHP Image Editor Pro Joomla 1.5, users of group Manager, Administrator and Super Administrator can edit images.
In plugins/system/phpimageeditor/pro/shared/includes/acl_functions.php you can change the PIE_Access() function to let other users edit images.

In PHP Image Editor Lite Joomla 2.5, 1.7 and 1.6, users with edit permission and super users can edit images.
In PHP Image Editor Lite Joomla 1.5, users of group Manager, Administrator and Super Administrator can edit images.
In plugins/system/phpimageeditor/lite/shared/includes/acl_functions.php you can change the PIE_Access() function to let other users edit images.
